Ireland: Seven-County Car Tour to Raise Awareness of the Persecution

In mid-August 2009, eight practitioners spent a week traveling by car to seven counties in Ireland in order to raise awareness about Falun Gong. In every county, the practitioners met warm-hearted people. Many local media covered the event.

Practitioners in Ireland have carried out several rounds of cross-Ireland tours to raise awareness.

In 2001, the practitioners in Ireland took part in the "SOS Walk for the Globally Urgent Rescue of the Falun Gong Practitioners Persecuted in China". Since August 2001, they have carried out three rounds of "SOS Walks" and one bicycle tour and covered most of the main counties and towns in Ireland.

In March 2006, when the CCP's crimes of live organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners was exposed, the practitioners in Ireland again launched a large scale nation-wide activity to raise awareness of the persecution. In June 2006, they initiated a car tour to further raise awareness.

This August it was their fourth car tour. They visited the last seven counties in Ireland. Thus, they have visited all 29 counties in Ireland and 6 in Northern Ireland. Many people signed a petition after learning about the brutal persecution of the Falun Gong practitioners in China.
